Fortnite is back with another legendary collaboration, and fans are loving it. The Epic Games-owned franchise is on its way to dropping another NFL collab, ultimately calling out all the rugby lovers. However, this will not be the first time fans will see an NFL skin, as the franchise has dropped a dozen in the past. 

Although, the upcoming skin will have much more hype than most of the ones previously released, as it features an NFL legend, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. While Fortnite had teased this skin back in May, the developers did not post any update making fans think it was dumped. But now, the man himself has given a green signal to this partnership, as he teased the cosmetic on his Instagram story.

In May 2022, Fortnite had accidentally teased an NFL skin, putting their fans in the loophole to guess who it was. However, popular Fortnite informant Shiiina could quickly decode it and uploaded a dedicated tweet about the same.

Here’s what the user said, “Epic is working on a new ICON skin for the NFL player “Patrick Mahomes”! Epic accidentally added a texture to the game files that shows the Adidas logo and a logo that, according to my knowledge, belongs to the player “Patrick Mahomes”. The announcement should happen soon!” Sadly, with no further updates from the franchise, the information slid into the dark.

Now, the collaboration news has gained a lot of traction as Patrick himself has teased it on his Instagram story. The quarterback has posted an image of a real-life version of the pickaxe, hinting toward the cosmetic set dropping soon.

The Patrick Mahomes skin will drop in the “iconic” skin section of Fortnite. After all, the man is an NFL Legend, and it’s the least the franchise can do.
