Pittspurgh Pirates all star Felipe Vazquez has admitted of having a sexual intercourse with a minor. USA Today reported that Vazquez admitted to be involved in an intercourse with a 13-year old girl in a Mustang two year ago, which he described as “sex, but not really.” He said they stopped and he told the girl he had to leave because he had a game that night.
When Vázquez was questioned Tuesday, the complaint said he said he did not remember the girl’s name but after being shown a photograph acknowledged he knew her. Vázquez also said that he had initially refused to communicate with her as she looked too young.
Police said Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez admitted that he drove nearly an hour in 2017 to meet a 13-year-old girl and tried to have sex with her, according to a criminal complaint released today. After a failed attempt, Vazquez, then 26, left to go to a game, per the complaint.

Only the other day was Vazquez was arrested on charges of sexual abuse of a minor girl. A state court affidavit filed in Florida said that the suspect was identified not by his face, but by “numerous tattoos” on his body that were “unique and distinguishable.”
Pirates president Frank Coonelly said in a statement after the arrest:
“Today we were made aware of an active law enforcement investigation involving Felipe Vázquez and his subsequent arrest. We take this matter, and these charges in particular, extremely seriously. We have informed the Commissioner’s Office of the investigation and arrest. The Commissioner’s Office will immediately place Felipe Vázquez on Administrative Leave (and, as a result, Restricted List) pursuant to the Joint MLB/MLBPA Policy. We need to be respectful to all involved and the ongoing legal proceeding. As a result, the organization, our staff and players cannot comment any further at this time.”
Now the 26-year old is reported to have admitted to the crime and it remains to be seen what legal action will be taken on him.
