Riyad Mahrez  has been a stand out performer for the first three weeks of the Premier League . Scoring 4 goals in 3 games, helping to secure 2 great wins and draw against Spurs by scoring an equalizer.

He scored a brace on opening day against Sunderland in a 4-2 win and followed by another goal in 2-1 win over West ham. It is an exceptional start more than he even dreamed about.

Club History

  1. Mahrez started career with hometown  AAS Sarcelles youth system, then in 2009 was signed by French lower division club Quimper 
  2. He joined Le Havre the following year, he started playing for reserve side, then played for the first team and went onto score 6 goals in 60 games in French Ligue 2 .
  3. In 2014, The Foxes paid Le Havre £350,000 to lure Mahrez. Till now he has made 53 appearances and scored 10 goals for Leicester City.

International Career

He was born in France, but started career as an Algerian International . He made his debut against Armenia on May 31, 2014 was also named in Algeria’s squad for the World Cup in Brazil and made one appearance too . Scored his first goal in Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi October of last year. In total of 16 games he has 3 goals to his name.

Style of play

Known for his flair, dribbling and passing skills. Though he had a great start with goals but is more known for the chances he creates for his team-mates. He is a dynamic winger, tireless throughout the match and also makes dangerous penetrating runs in the box which at times is a nightmare for defenders to cope with.
