Stefanos Tsitsipas makes an honest confession regarding fellow players
Stefanos, who won the doubles title in ATP Acapulco alongside Feliciano Lopez, mentioned that players today are very serious. During his early days, he hoped of making a lot of friends as he revealed the reality.
“I was an introverted child and didn’t have many friends. When I started playing on tour, I thought I would develop friendships but it turned out to be the opposite. Most players keep to themselves. I feel like players don’t want to become friends because they think someone will grab a secret from you to beat you. I guess they’re just too serious about the whole thing. Friends would make traveling less lonely.”

Tsitsipas lost in the semi-finals at Australian Open this year
At the Australian Open, he suffered a similar fate as the previous season, losing to Daniil Medvedev in the semifinal. Post that, he was seen competing in Rotterdam but lost in the final against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Stefanos was most recently seen at Acapulco in Mexico. Sadly, he fell short in the quarterfinal after going down to Cameron Norrie in straight sets. Nonetheless, these are early days as he looks to find ways to improve his rhythm before the start of the European clay season.
