With the ‘console war’ at its peak, Sony and Microsoft are doing everything they can to ensure a successful launch. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are all set to launch on November 10 and November 12, respectively. Now, in a bid to boost their global console sales, PlayStation has signed a strategic with Spanish soccer giants, Real Madrid.

This is indeed a great partnership considering Real Madrid is one of the most followed and famous soccer clubs in the world. It boasts a massive fanbase and has a golden history to back up its popularity. Tying up with PlayStation is a great opportunity for Real Madrid and Sony to expand their reach.

PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 will be the official consoles for Real Madrid

The official announcement reads, “…the partnership sees the new PlayStation 5 (PS5) and PlayStation4 become Real Madrid’s official consoles. This deal enables the two brands to create synergies and make the world of football and basketball even greater, both in real life and through the console.”

This partnership will help PlayStation get a strong foothold in Spain. Additionally, it will also appeal to other markets where Real Madrid has a bigger fanbase. Consequently, a Real Madrid FIFA 21 bundle for PS4 Pro is now available for purchase.

On the other hand, Microsoft recently announced a multi-year partnership with video game retailer Gamestop. Obviously, this is a move to ensure that the Xbox Series X and S sales receive a boost. Tying up with one of the world’s biggest retailers is indeed a great move that will benefit both Xbox and Gamestop in the long run.

It seems both Microsoft and Sony are doing everything they can to ensure that their consoles come out on top. With the global pandemic still at large, there is a possibility that the pre-orders for the consoles will be delayed. Nevertheless, both the companies will definitely ensure that their customers get exactly what they wished for, on time.
