PlayStation 5 Controller May Have A Black Variant, Reports Suggest

One of the major components of the Sony PlayStation 5 that is set to usher in the next-gen of gaming is, undoubtedly, the DualSense controller. With the excellent hardware, PS5 has teased us of the paradigm-shifting changes it will bring to the gaming experience. The upcoming console from the house of Sony has promised to take gaming to a whole new level, especially by appealing to the sensory aspects. And the DualSense Controller will make up a huge part of that sensory experience.

The controller sends out vibrations as feedback for the physical conditions depicted in a game. To be more precise, the controller tries to recreate the sense of touch and terrain to make the player feel physically involved in the gameplay. To be honest, this has already caught the attention of fans and players, across the world, who want to try the new gaming beast. Not to mention, both the console and the controller look futuristic and elegant.

There is a possibility of a black controller for PlayStation 5
A Twitter user going by the name @_AlexKyaw posted a tweet showing pictures of what appears to be a prototype of a black-colored version of the PS5 DualSense controller.

Now, we do not know if the black variant will be available for the public. It might even be just a discarded prototype. But people have expressed mixed reactions to it. On one hand, the PlayStation controllers and consoles have always been black, which makes PS5 the first time Sony has gone white. But we all agree that it looks elegant in a very sci-fi way. To be honest, the black variant with white buttons does not look like a product ready for the retail market.

Having said that, it does seem possible that Sony will release a black variant of the console at some point. If they do, it will almost bring back the traditional look of the PS family. We think the white console and controllers look way better than the black ones. But then, Sony might end up surprising us with a black colored console that looks really sick.
