PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are going head to head very soon. With less than a month away from launch, both the next-gen consoles have provided gamers with features unlike anything seen before. Nonetheless, both have their pros and cons.

While storage and backwards compatibility are key points of discussion in any console debate, there are other systematic features that set them apart as well. Not just with each other, these consoles are an example of how far we have come in the last five years.
Consumers who purchased PS4 during the launch, probably possess a machine that makes a lot of noise now. This is particularly because vented consoles are difficult to clean. The accumulated dust in the system leads to heating and noise issues.
With the PS5, Sony has changed the game altogether. In the teardown video released last week, Sony showcased the intricacies of its console design from the inside. One of the many striking features in the behemoth of a console was the dust removal design.
The teardown video revealed two holes in the body of the consoles. These holes can be spotted once the outer white plates are removed.
The two oddly shaped holes seen in the picture above are dust catchers. All the dust will get collected in these spots after getting filtered by the fan. Therefore, to remove the accumulated dust, all one has to do is vacuum clean those two holes.
Dust removal from vented consoles just got a lot easier with PlayStation 5.

How will PlayStation 5 control noise and insulation?
PS5 features a high-performance cooling system. Some have even remarked that the cooling system is a tad bit expensive. The body of the console has huge vents to aid cooling. The overall dimensions of the console are bigger compared to the PS4 Pro. This is also supposed to help in reducing noise and heating issues.
The teardown video further revealed that the Ultra HD Optical Drive will have special insulation to reduce noise and vibration produced during high performance. A heat sink will also function side by side, making things cooler and smoother for the console. Overall, the price to pay might be all worth it.
