PlayStation Head Draws Attention With His Upside Down PS5

The PlayStation 5, which released worldwide on November 19, undoubtedly has a rather strange design. Users can place it either vertically or horizontally. However, it can get confusing for users. In a now-deleted tweet, we saw the PlayStation head, Hermen Hulst, struggling with the same.

Hulst’s Playstation 5 caught Twitter’s eye in a video he shared

The PlayStation Studio head had simply shared a video of his cat “attacking” his television set while he was playing Bugsnax. His PS5 happened to appear in the video below his cat. Twitter was quick to notice the positioning of his PS5 and pointed out how he had placed it upside down.

Twitter exploded with tweets regarding this from prominent media houses. However, as soon as his team realized the error, they took down the tweet and re-uploaded it later,  cropping out faux pas from the frame.

Speculations arose where Twitter users tried to figure out whether Hulst had placed the PS5 incorrectly on purpose to see whether anyone would notice. However, these speculations proved wrong when they deleted and the tweet.

How should the PS5 actually be placed

While it may seem sort of confusing because of its design, the PS5 is actually quite easy to place. Owing to its unique design, the latest edition of PlayStation can be placed either vertically or horizontally. Placing it vertically should not be an issue. Users are most commonly confused regarding the horizontal placement of the same.

The console comes with a stand to help it lay flat on the surface. Users are to place the PS5 on this stand with the disc tray on the bottom left of the device setup. A properly placed PS5 will look like this.

The PS5 initially released on November 12 this year, followed by its worldwide release on November 19.
