PlayStation Showcase: Marvel’s Spider-Man to Introduce Fan-Favorite Anti-Villain Venom in Sequel Arriving in 2023

After a dreary period of waiting, fans have finally experienced the long-awaited PlayStation Showcase. The event showed many of the exquisite titles that fans wanted for the Sony-developed consoles in the upcoming years. This includes the fan-favorite racing simulation title of Gran Turismo 7 and the iconic God of War sequel titled Ragnarok.
Popular publishers, Insomniac Games, also had a busy showcase as well. The developers blew everyone’s mind by revealing a short snippet of their next major IP in Marvel’s Wolverine. Fans have a lot of excitement about their take on the iconic mutant, and they would love to play as him soon. It almost felt that the announcement was a massive thing. However, the company topped it off by announcing something even bigger.

PlayStation Showcase reveals Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 featuring favorite anti-villain Venom
Following weeks of rumors and leaks, Insomniac Games finally revealed the one thing that fans have waited to hear for a long time. The company announced the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man, which became a massive success when it was released in 2018. Following that, the developers even created an amazing spin-off title involving Miles Morales last year as well.
The developers announced the game with a short announce trailer during the PlayStation Showcase. In this clip, fans noticed the duo of Miles Morales and Peter Parker beating the hell out of some thugs. However, things turned sideways quickly when the visuals panned towards a dark alley with a very creepy voice playing in the background. Soon, the familiar face of Venom materialized out of the shadows, and it seems like the game will finally introduce him to this universe.

Spider-Man 2 to release in 2023
Fans of Spider-Man comics and other media have loved the iconic symbiote for a long time. Venom has become so popular that Sony will soon release the sequel to the character’s movie with Tom Hardy playing Eddie Brock. The movie will feature Venom’s biggest foe in Carnage, and the battle will be epic. While Eddie has played the role of anti-villain to Peter Parker’s Spider-Man most of the time. However, he can become evil and play the role of a villain to absolute perfection.

It remains to be seen if Venom will arrive as an anti-villain or a pure villain in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Players will have to wait for a long time as well to play the game as it will arrive in 2023 for the PlayStation 5 and other consoles. It’s a long wait for fans of the celebrated comic-book characters. But, it seems like it will be worth the wait.
