

Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane is grabbing the limelight again with a surprise move. She tweeted today that she is going to set a custom cap on her live stream donations. If she does, viewers will be able to donate a minimum of $2 or a maximum of $5 to her stream. She is partnering with Streamlabs in this move.

While in hindsight this seems like a respectable move, many of her viewers don’t believe so. It is almost given that every good action will receive a negative backlash on the internet. pokimane’s announcement was no different as many put forth their suspicions regarding the move.

Nonetheless, there was an overwhelmingly positive response to Pokimane’s announcement.
The streamer has repeatedly been accused of taking advantage of her male viewers, but this move points towards the opposite. Further to that, she is currently the 6th biggest streamer on the platform. Therefore, this move signifies her growth more than anything. She also has recently come off her break from Twitch, and it is great to see her return on a positive note.
