British tennis star Emma Raducanu is one of the most famous players on the WTA Tour. The manner in which she won the US Open this year has been a fairytale story. The prominence she has come to is truly remarkable, especially the swiftness of it.

Recently, there was a positive update with regard to Emma Raducanu. Due to her splendid run at the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open, she has been named the WTA Newcomer of the Year. That puts her in the elite company of superstars Venus and Serena Williams

The youngster was thrilled to be included amongst the two stars. She spoke on this topic and stated, “To join those names, I think, is pretty crazy. And I don’t really believe it, because they’ve achieved so much. So for me to be part of that little group, I think, is a good achievement. But I’m just really looking forward to getting started from here and trying to really make my tour experience and my tour legacy prolonged.”

Emma Raducanu heroics this season has made her stand out 

Not many players have managed to do what Raducanu has done. To win a Grand Slam title in your first appearance at the venue is exceptional. During the course of the US Open, Raducanu played the tennis of her life and managed to alleviate strong competition on her way to becoming the winner.

However, things have not gone according to plan for the teenager. After winning the US Open, she fired her coach and appointed a new one. She also lost in the second round of the Indian Wells 2021. Now that the season is over, we wish her all the best for the 2022 season.
