Neymar has been on the headlines for quite a while now. Two years after he forced out of Barcelona, Neymar finds himself unsettled in Paris Saint-Germain. There have been rumours of Neymar wanting to leave PSG for quite a while now. But where will Neymar end up?

In the latest of reports from ESPN, PSG have rejected an outrageous 190 million Euro loan offer from his previous club Barcelona for the Brazilian winger.

According to the ESPN sources, Barcelona offered an upfront sum of €40m cash for the loan with a future obligation of €150m to permanently sign the Brazilian star from the French champions next summer.

Other sources, also from ESPN, claimed that the price went up only till 170 million Euros, but was eventually rejected.

Barcelona, who have recently loaned out Philippe Coutinho, are currently facing a dearth of options up front, with the list of injuries mounting. Losing the LaLiga opener against Athletic Bilbao, the Catalans will probably go into the second match against Real Betis, with only one fit attacker in the form of Antoine Griezmann.

Neymar and Barcelona have been looking to reunite for a while now, but they haven’t been able to agree on solid deal.

According to Marca, the reason for PSG rejecting the offer was not with the intention of keeping Neymar, but to get more cash out of him. PSG president also seems unhappy with Neymar’s attitude, who, after two weeks into the French Ligue 1, is still practicing away from the team and is yet to feature in a PSG jersey this season.

Marca have also reported that PSG want a sum around 250 million Euros for the talented winger, an amount which, considering the money spent by Barcelona to bring in the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong, would be far from affordable.

From PSG’s perspective, they would be getting only 40 million Euros at this point if they agree to Barcelona’s offer, after which they will have to find a replacement for Neymar. And € 40m, by no means, would be enough for them to bring in a replacement for the quality of former Barcelona man.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Juventus seem to be two other clubs interested in signing Neymar. Real Madrid are already reported to have been rejected a deal which included Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, and are now expected to wait before making another bid. Juventus, on the other hand, can try to lure Neymar with the inclusion of Paulo Dybala in the deal. Dybala seems to be out of favour in Turin, and a move to Paris would be most welcome.
