Joshua should fight me- Dillian Whyte

‘The Villain’ commented on ‘AJ’ s next opponent Kubrat Pulev. He labeled the 38-year old as a half vegetable and called him old.

The WBC Interim Heavyweight Champion said, “Joshua says he wants to fight me. He just keeps talking. He should be fighting me and not Pulev. “That’s a dead fight. Pulev is the real cabbage. He’s the first half-vegetable, half-man.”

‘The Body Snatcher’ even claimed that prime Pulev too was not good enough. “He’s old now, he’s got a good jab.

‘AJ’ successfully held onto the titles in the next 7 bouts after facing Whyte, before dropping it Andy Ruiz Jr in 2019. 6 months later he reclaimed the title in style. His next defense is against Kubrat Pulev.

A Boxing News 24 report reasons out that ‘AJ’ is not running from ‘The Villain.’ He is only facing ‘Kobrata’ as the Ukrainian earned the shot after winning a title eliminator in 2018.

The report states Whyte had a chance to compete in a similar title eliminator however, he opted for another bout thus hampering his chances at the Joshua rematch. He chose to fight Dereck Chisora in 2018 instead of Luis Ortiz.  The report also says he turned down the Pulev fight which could have seen him earn a shot at Joshua.

It seems as though Whyte only has himself to blame as ‘AJ’ is fighting the ones who earn a title shot against him. He isn’t running away from ‘The Villain’ and choosing opponents for convenience’s sake.
