At this year’s French Open, the world saw the return of Andy Murray. The British star hadn’t played the event for a long time due to injury and fans were surely glad to see him again. However, the former World No. 1’s first match did not go as planned as Stan Wawrinka thrashed him. This led to some very critical comments by Mats Wilander, who said,
“I think Andy Murray needs to stop thinking of himself and start thinking about who he was. Does he have a right to be out there taking wildcards from the young players?”

“I got in a little bit of trouble here during the French Open with Andy Murray. I thought we saw an Andy Murray that wasn’t that excited. He got beaten pretty easily, he wasn’t excited. He works this hard and he shows up at the French Open and he doesn’t show emotion,” said Wilander.

“I’m pulling for him 100 percent. He has deserved it. I think the interesting question is passion. Does Andy have the passion? And I think he does. I am 100 per cent sure,” he added.
It is very clear that And Murray loves tennis as he returned to the sport even after being sidelined for a couple of years. He now needs to play his best tennis again and he will be hoping to do just that when he returns for the 2021 Australian Open.
