Rafael Nadal married his long-time girlfriend Xisca Perello at Sa Fortaleza in Mallorca on Saturday in front of over 350 guests including their family. The attendees were also reminded by the couple that they wanted the wedding ceremony to be an intimated affair.

Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello left a message for their guests’ seats, reminding them that it would be a private wedding ceremony and hence the celebration should be in the ‘strictest privacy’.

According to Spanish publications Mundo Deportivo, Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello left a note for the wedding attendees which read: “We remind you that we would like you to enjoy our wedding and to be in the strictest privacy. When you arrive you will find a locker so you can leave your cell phones.”

Apart from Nadal and Perello’s family, the Spanish king Juan Carlos, the Queen Mother, basketball star Pau Gasol attended the 19-time Grand Slam champion’s marriage. The Mallorcan’s former coach and uncle Toni Nadal, his current coach Carlos Moya, Francisco Roig, his physiotherapist Rafa Maymo, his doctor Angel Ruiz-Cotorro and his agent Carlos Costa were also the attendees.

Also Nadal’s compatriots Feliciano Lopez, with his wife Sandra Gago, David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco, Marc Lopez attended the wedding ceremony along with their better half. Gtres shared some photos taken by the paparazzi of the wedding.

However, the guests were not allowed to take any photos of the ceremony. Hence, the invitees couldn’t take any pictures featuring the 33-year-old and Maria together, and nothing was shared on social media platforms too.

According to reports, Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello tied the knot at 1:56 pm local time. The Spaniard will not have much time to celebrate his wedding as he is scheduled to play the Paris Rolex Masters 2019 and will head back to practice for indoor hard court season.
