Chapter 40 of ‘Fedal’ is just a few hours away from getting underway on the Centre Court of Wimbledon. Rafa’s uncle and former coach, Toni Nadal believes, Rafael Nadal can equalize the head to head tally against the grass-courter, Roger Federer at Wimbledon, where the Swiss presently leads by 2-1.
Toni Nadal feels, the third seed, Rafael Nadal was surreal in his tough second-round match against the Australian, Nick Kyrios. The Spaniard defended almost all the attacks from Kyrgios’ end.
Moreover, Rafa’s serve at this year’s Wimbledon gave a tough time to was all his opponents and on an average Nadal has been coming up with almost 10 aces per match at Wimbledon Championships 2019. And last month at French Open 2019, Rafa slammed an average of four aces per match.

“I see Rafael capable of winning,” Toni Nadal said. “I think all the matches were very high level. With Kyrgios he dropped a bit in the second set, but you know that the Australian serves very well and gives you no rhythm.”

Uncle Toni was impressed with Rafa’s performance against the American big server, Sam Querrey and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, where Rafael Nadal held straight-set victories against them. “And Wednesday, a very high level too. Everything goes very well. He served very well against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and on Wednesday too.”

“The backhand was good all the time, but with the forehand too. I heard that the balls are slower, but yesterday’s rival was broken only once (previously) in the tournament but Rafa broke him six times,” Toni continued.
At Wimbledon Championships 2019, World Number three, Roger Federer has won 96 percent of his services games and he has been aggressive against his opponents. Also, his match winning streak on the turf presently extends to ten and to make it eleven, the Swiss has to overpower Rafa’s defensive weapons.

“Federer is a very difficult opponent, he is a grass-court Specialist and it will not be easy, but I see Rafa holding a sufficient level to beat him. Federer always serves very well and when he plays fast it’s difficult to deal with him,” Toni added.
