Rafael Nadal Has ‘2 or 3 Very Good Years Left’ Says Former Spanish Davis Cup Captain

In recent times, things have not gone according to the wishes of Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard has been dealing with injuries right from the French Open this season, especially a foot injury. However, this has been a problem he has been dealing with all throughout his career.
Recently, former Olympic silver medalist, Jordi Arrese, reflected on his compatriot Rafael Nadal and his injury. Over the years, we have witnessed the 13-time Roland Garros champion bounce back from injuries and gone on to win the biggest honors in this sport.
The 57-year-old stated, “Achieving what Rafa has achieved is practically impossible. We will see if someone surpasses it.” He continued, “If Rafa recovers, he still has two or three very good years left because he has too good a level and is a mental predator,” stressed the Spaniard.

Rafael Nadal didn’t go the distance in Paris
Reflecting on Nadal’s season, he landed in Adelaide and was part of the exhibition event out there. Soon after, he landed in Melbourne and came as far as the quarterfinal at the Australian Open. He lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas, who fought back from being two sets down to claim the next three sets.

At the French Open, there were high hopes as usual. However, Novak Djokovic had other plans and dethroned Rafa in the semifinal. Following that, Rafa skipped the Wimbledon Championships and the Tokyo Olympics.
