Rafael Nadal Sends Heartfelt Message to Olympic Swimmer on Birth of Her Child

In these tough times due to the coronavirus pandemic, certain stories would lift anybody’s mood. One such story involves Rafael Nadal and Spanish synchronized swimmer Ona Carbonell. Nadal had a sweet gesture to do for Ona’s special moment.
Ona Carbonell had earlier announced the birth of her child Kai on August 5th. And from then on many Spanish stars and people have congratulated the Olympian.

But one special gift came from Rafael Nadal and his sister María Isabel Nadal. Ona revealed the gift on Instagram which contained a lot of goodies and a letter. Congratulating Ona, the letter further welcomed Kai into the Rafa Nadal Academy so that he can become a great tennis player.

Sharing the photo of the gift on Instagram, Ona thanked Rafa and his sister María and said that if in future Kai likes tennis he will surely be at the Rafa Nadal Academy.

“If Kai likes tennis, you will have him every summer at the Rafael Nadal Academy,” replied Ona Carbonell
Ona Carbonell has represented Spain at the Olympics and won two medals. She won a silver and bronze in the 2012 London Olympics. Ona in September 2019 decided to take a temporary retirement as she wanted to focus on her personal life and decided to miss the Tokyo Olympics as well.

Rafa Nadal Academy was started in 2016. And Rafa’s uncle and former coach Toni Nadal is coaching there. Recently Nadal went to Kuwait to inaugurate his second academy unit and first outside Spain.
