Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal is currently in Melbourne. There, he will be playing the ATP Cup and the Australian Open to kick off his 2021 season. However, after these events, nobody knew where he would be playing next until now.
Recently, it has been revealed that the Spaniard is joining the entry list for the Rotterdam Open. The last time that he played there was way back in 2009, which is why it is great that he is returning there. He is also excited about it as he said,
“I am looking forward to returning to the Netherlands. It has been a long time since I went to play in Rotterdam. This year, the season has a difficult calendar and in this case, it fits well into my schedule. It’s a tournament that I like to play and hopefully, be in their honours roll.”

The match that people are surely looking out for in Rotterdam is definitely the one between Rafa and Stan Wawrinka. It has been quite a while since they faced each other as their last match was back in 2019.
That battle was won by the Spaniard and in fact, the last 6 matches have gone his way. This is partially due to Stan’s drop in form after 2017 when he underwent knee surgery. Hopefully, he will find his best tennis soon so that we can see a neck-and-neck battle in Rotterdam.
