The video game industry has seen some magnificent entries this year. While most of them have been massive commercial successes, no title is as massive and popular as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

This is primarily because New Horizons exposes the players to a world of imagination that is unparalleled. Moreover, it captures the creativity of the players and enables them to create a world of their own.

Thus the title has accomplished by providing the players a range of unique designs and patterns. While the premise of the game is similar to the previous titles, New Horizons tries to replicate reality in its own unique way.

Here are a few tips that the players can follow to give their islands a more novel approach.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons enables the players to create a world of their own

Evenly placed houses

At the beginning of the game, Tom Nook provides the players with a plot of land that functions as the foundation of the game. While the theme of the game is pretty relaxing and surreal, it is important to note that it tries to reflect reality.

So the same way an architect develops a blueprint for a house, the player too, should have a concept or a design in mind. The best way to go about this is to meticulously plan the placement of houses. This gives your island a purpose.

The game gives the players a chance to change the location of houses or move them to another area, but it costs a copious amount of bells. So it’s safer to plan before you plant!

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has an enormous range of fence patterns

Appropriate fencing patterns give the island an aesthetically pleasing design. Various types of fencing designs are available in the game.

However, the most common are wooden and stone fencing designs. Stone fencing looks good near the houses. If they are placed further away from the houses, the players can place dirt mats on which flowers can be planted that give the island a more town-like characteristic.

Wooden fencing can demarcate boundaries around which, again, a green cover can be installed. Wooden fencing also looks eye-catching when it is placed near an orchid or any other green cover. This is more of a personal choice and depends on the look the players want their island to emanate.

Utilize the entire island

Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes with a range of activities that are easy to pull off. The game also makes it possible to craft items that can either be sold or can beautify your island.

Not utilizing your island area can lead to a lot of ‘dead space’. This might make your island look pretty stale. The fundamental idea is to make several sneaky adjustments that will make the island come alive.

This can be accomplished by adding a green cover that will not only look serene but will also be a good use of space. The players can plant trees, build fields, and thanks to a recent update, can also indulge in farming.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a bigwig in this year’s list of new titles. While the players can already accomplish a lot, future updates might make things brighter and craftier!
