The sixth season is on the horizon in Chapter 2 of Fortnite. The season will begin on March 16th with a single-player mission called “Zero Point Finale.” Epic Games regards this as the conclusion to Agent Jones’ mission in Fortnite. While players are understandably excited for the coming of a new season, here’s what Epic gave us throughout Chapter 2, Season 5.

The season began with players teaming up alongside Avengers like Iron Man and Thor to defeat the planet-consuming evil entity, Galactus. Following this, we were introduced to the Zero Point, a large, unstable orb that sits in the middle of the map.

We were also made aware of Agent Jonesy’s mission to ensure that players don’t escape the loop. “The Loop” is the game of Fortnite itself. As Jonesy enters the loop, he receives an eerie warning that the seven may be watching.

As the season progressed, players discovered symbols in bunkers and buildings. They deciphered the symbols as ‘IO’ signifying the ‘Imagined Order’. We also discovered the troops working with Jonesy that appeared mid-match. However, the most appreciated part of the season was the bounty hunters that Jonesy recruited to help with his mission.

Season 5 saw Epic collaborate with God of War to bring Kratos, DC’s Flash, Master Chief from Halo, movie franchises such as Predator and Terminator, and even Lazarbeam for his icon series skin. Week 10 was a big one for Fortnite. This week we got the third Fortnite crew skin in the form of VI, a member of the Fox clan who had seemingly hacked the game’s Twitter account. Additionally, the Mandalorian finally found his new home in the Star Wars canteen added to the map. The Star Wars collaboration was further celebrated with the Mando’s Bounty LTM.

Epic celebrated Christmas and Valentine’s day during the course of Season 5. Fortnite Winterfest 2020 bought snow to the map of Fortnite alongside the Snowmando skin. Valentine’s Day was celebrated through the Heart’s Run Wild event.
