After Sam Allardyce admitted that defender Winston Reid has ‘no future’ at West Ham United, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to offer £4M this winter for the New Zealand man. Wenger is reportedly happy to pay for Reid’s services, although he can be acquired for free this summer.

Reid is unlikely to sign a new contract with West Ham and will walk away on a Bosman, unless Wenger gets in there first. Reid has been an inconsistent performer this season, but Wenger and Arsenal need a solid defender who can handle Premier League pressure.
