Fortnite battle royale season 4 is scheduled for August 27th. Before that, Epic will host a #FreeFortnite tournament, where the entire community will get a chance to play together for the last time. The predictions, reports, and leaks for season 4 all point to one direction. Epic Games will collaborate with Marvel in season 4.

This is a strategy that Epic follows with every season. Collaborations with iconic pop culture organizations always enmesh the narrative into a fantasy. This also helps appeal to the younger generation. However, the community might not be happy with this. 

Hypex tweeted a confirmation of all the speculations about Marvel and Thor so far. He also mentioned a few other salient features which Epic will reveal later.

Epic needs to give more attention to the actual storyline of Fortnite. We have seen how Midas’ power to Jules after the big device event. Players are curious to know what happens next in that overarching storyline.

Fortnite season 4 will heavily feature Marvel

The collaboration with Marvel will definitely give us some new superhero skins. Thor and Galactus are the most predictable ones under that. However, we might even get an all-out Avengers reunion. 

Hypex also informed everyone that the upcoming season will feature a Wolverine and a Storm skin. However, they will be the comic book versions and not the ones from the MCU. The Battle Pass will also feature Groot.

The season 4 teaser also confirmed that Marvel will be a huge part of Fortnite.

What happens to the actual storyline?

We left off at an uncertain point. Midas being swallowed by a shark and Jules taking charge was the last we heard of them. Since then, we have seen little of the actual Fortnite lore.

However, Midas featured alongside Joker in the ‘Last Laugh’ bundle. This showed us he was still very much alive. 

Also, next season might feature a Midas Flopper, which would turn your entire inventory to legendary status.

All this points to the fact that season 4 might show us glimpses of the actual story. Nevertheless, Epic Games like to keep these things hidden until the last moment. So, we’ll just have to wait for the new season to know more.
