On his YouTube show ‘GB Decides’, he also claimed that the new game will not release for Nintendo Switch. Grubb has been very confident with his claims about the release of this game. According to earlier reports, this remaster is listed as the ‘EA HD title’ in its release schedule.

Grubb said, “EA has multiple games coming to Nintendo Switch and Mass Effect is definitely not one of them. Not yet, anyhow. If that happens, it won’t happen in that one-year window that they talked about in their shareholder meaning.”

Mass Effect fans deserve a remastered ‘Legendary Edition’

BioWare had first released the trilogy for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC between 2007 and 2012, and sold over 14 million units by 2014. The fourth installment in the series, Mass Effect: Andromeda, failed to impress. The game had negative reviews and was probably the primary reason the franchise was put on hold.

But the failure of Andromeda in 2017 should give more incentive to Electronic Arts to remaster the popular trilogy. It will be the wisest step to rejuvenate the fan-favorite franchise. After all the series is still loved by many. Fans celebrate November 7 as the “N7 day” as a reference to the famed N7 armor from Mass Effect. This is the perfect indicator of the admiration for the game.

Reports suggest that Mike Gamble is directing the remastered version of the trilogy. Mike is not new to the series as he has worked at BioWare for almost a decade. He was the development manager on Mass Effect 2 and producer for the next installments.
