Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 US Open had to take many safety measures. They haven’t been taking any risks and recently, two players were quarantined. While the identities of the two players were not revealed, their names have still managed to come out. The players in question are Guido Pella and Hugo Dellien. They’re isolated because their fitness trainer tested positive for COVID-19. They’re both now out of the Cincinnati Masters which starts tomorrow, right before the US Open.
Pella talked about this and said, “We don’t feel anything. But the organizers took me out of the tournament… Now the protocol is for me to be tested every other day. There is no other option, hoping that these two weeks pass quickly and that I can be present at the United States Open.”
