Robin van Persie scores twice in under 21-game

Robin van Persie is back to doing what he does best, that is scoring goals. He scored his first goals since February with a well-taken brace for Manchester United’s under-21 team in their 4-1 win at Fulham.

Van Persie played 81 mins, and also hit the woodwork one.

The Dutchman made his first-team comeback as a late substitute in Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at Everton.

United manager Louis van Gaal prefers the reserved matches for players to regain fitness rather than directly testing them in competitive matches.

Even though in van Persie’s absence United have done well,  but with 2 back to back defeats and poor form of Monaco loanee Radamel Falcao, his return is definitely a boost for the team.

Joe Rothwell also scored twice in the win at Craven Cottage, while Adnan Januzaj, Tyler Blackett and Andreas Pereira all started.
