One can’t simply keep records away from the Swiss legend Roger Federer. It is as if records chase him rather than the other way around. There is hardly anything left in tennis which the 39-year-old has not achieved so far. Recently, Federer accomplished yet another milestone after he successfully managed to remain in the Top 20 ATP rankings for a total of 1000 weeks. This is a phenomenal achievement by Roger.

He is well ahead of the second-placed player and tennis legend Andre Agassi, who remained in the Top for 868 weeks. Among active players, 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal is behind Federer with 792 weeks, and Novak Djokovic is third with 706 weeks.

1000 is surely a superb number for the Swiss Maestro. Soon, Federer will also become the first player to remain in the Top 20 rankings for the most consecutive weeks. Starting from the last week of April 2001 to November 2020, he has remained in the Top 20 for 998 weeks as of now. He is just two weeks away from registering another record.
