Roger Federer is Not Concerned About 100
Roger Federer, who moved into the semi-finals of the Nitto ATP World Tour Finals, after overcoming the South African Kevin Anderson. Federer had a shaky start to his tournament after a loss to Kei Nishikori, but has come back in spectacular fashion. He will face off against Alexander Zverev in his semi-finals match, as he targets to win his 100th title.
“I think regardless of the numbers, this is a massive tournament for the players. Of course, I can only speak for myself, but I’ve loved being part of the Tennis Masters Cup, today [the Nitto ATP] Finals,”said Roger Federer. “I’ve always tried to pace myself in a way, that I would have something left in the tank, that I would peak at this event.”
“I’m happy that this is another week like this. Didn’t look like it maybe 72 hours ago,” said the Swiss Maestro. “But I was able to come back and play good tennis”, said Federer referring to his disappointing start against the Japanese Kei Nishikori. As Federer gears up to battle it out against Zverev, Novak Djokovic lurks in the other half of the semi-finals, and will face off against the Croat Marin Cilic, later today, who has said that he will do whatever it takes to derail the Djokovic train.
