“Yes, I love the accessibility of Uniqlo. With it not being a typical sportswear brand, it brings a wider audience to the world of tennis. And at the same time, introduces tennis fans to some amazing everyday essentials the brand is known for. It’s great to see fans get as hooked on it as I am,” Roger Federer said.

Since the time, Roger Federer has been endorsing Uniqlo, the brand has opened their gateways by creating their reach to the tennis fans and which has, in turn, escalated their business and that led to efficient marketing of their product. For US Open 2019, Federer has intentionally chosen an all-black outfit which resonates with a New York City vibe.

Before collaborating with the Japanese clothing brand, he concluded his two-decade-old sponsorship deal with Nike and then signed his agreement with Uniqlo. The Japanese brand happened as a result of the latter’s commitment to continue working with the Swiss legend once he hits the sack.

It’s been 11 years since Roger Federer last lifted his title at the New York major, back then he defeated Andy Murray in the finals. Ever since he lost to Novak Djokovic in the US Open 2015 finals, the 38-year-old Swiss has not made it to the finals in New York.

Last year, Jack Millman gatecrashed the quarterfinal clash of Djokovic and Federer, as Millman defeated the five-time US Open champion, Federer in the fourth round of the American major.
