At Laver Cup 2019’s pre-tournament press conference, one of the journalists from China asked Roger Federer if China will ever get an opportunity to host the Laver Cup. The Swiss maestro had an optimistic response to the question.
“Why not. But not in the Europe year,” Roger Federer said. “The other years it’s completing open and flexible. You have got to ask the Laver Cup people and I’m sure they are looking into it. It’s going to go for the next decade for so. China has been a good place for us players,” Roger Federer said.
China has been organizing a few big tournaments, which include the Shanghai Rolex Masters and China Open. Also, it is the home to a few tournaments on the tennis tour and the sport is growing at a rapid rate in the vast Asian country.
The first two editions of Laver Cup were held in Prague and Chicago and over there, it turned out to be a massive success. Depending upon the excitement of the tournament organizers, the Laver Cup might move to China.

I will happy to see the Laver Cup going to China at one stage. I just like it to be in a place which is super excited about host the Laver Cup like Prague, Chicago and now Geneva has shown.
