World Number three, Roger Federer shows no sign to hang his racquets at the moment, but he believes once he hits the sack there are ample ventures to explore, where he could indulge and do something significant for the society. “I’m not afraid of retirement, I know there are enough things for me later,” Roger Federer addressed the Colombian media.

Presently, tennis means the world to Federer and no matter how difficult it is he continues to swing his racquets with elegance. “I really enjoy playing tennis, no matter what I have been playing for a long time now. The hardest part is traveling. Although it is exciting to meet other cultures and people, you have to keep training, no matter the fatigue,” Federer added.

Besides being the best tennis player in the history of the sport, Roger Federer is a triumphant philanthropist. The Roger Federer Foundation in Africa and Switzerland serves about one million children. The underprivileged kids receive a quality education and other basic needs required for living.

“My mom has always been a great inspiration to me. We are a working-class family and that was a motivation to create the foundation. With the foundation we always have challenges, but the goal is to help it continue to grow and give tools to the beneficiaries to empower them,” Federer elaborated.

In Bogota, Colombia Roger Federer’s exhibition match against Alexander Zverev was canceled owing to a curfew in the Colombian capital following the recent riots in the town.

“I am heartbroken for the people of Bogota. Due to the curfew tonight, unfortunately, we could not put on the match I have waited so long for. I promise everyone, Sascha and I will be returning in the future to give our Colombian fans the chance to see us play. With such great and lasting memories from my 2012 tour to Bogota, I can’t wait to make that happen again,” Federer tweeted.
