Harris Attacks Roger Federer
In a recent podcast by the Whooshka, Andrew Harris talked about prize money redistribution. He felt that the general public does not understand the discrepancies in prize money. He also said that he wants a system where the 300th player is able to make enough money to support themselves.
This is something that has been supported by Roger Federer as he has said that he wants prize money redistribution. But according to Harris, he does not mean what he has said. In the podcast, Harris said,
“Roger, Rafa, and Novak. They’ve been at the top for so long, they almost forget what it’s like to be in these lower positions. I know Federer is all for the money at the top. He might say in public what people want to hear, that he’s all for money being redistributed to lower-ranked players but when it comes to voting, his preference is to keep it at the top.”

This is not the first time that Harris called out Roger Federer. Almost a month ago, he criticized him for saying that he would find it difficult to play the ATP events without fans and that the Tour should return when things are normal. Harris said that he was selfish as there are so many struggling players who need the prize money.
