Roger Federer: “I Spend Two Hours With Media”

Roger Federer, who is always known for his charming and jovial aura, both on and off the court, spoke about how he manages his hectic schedule with efficacy.  “I spend two hours with media and two hours having treatment”, said Roger Federer. “I also have to accept my fans’ requests as they cheer my name. All of this is funny but sometimes my day is too busy”, he added.

Federer also said that he is holding off spending time at home at the moment. The Swiss Maestro says he will have plenty of time to spend with his family after he retires and that, now he is simply focusing on the day-to-day errands that a tennis player has, in his career. “When I have the chance to spend two weeks at home, in just one place, I am like: “Are you joking? Is it the reality?” Obviously, sometimes I would like to stay home for two months in a row, but I know that once I stop playing tennis I can stay home every day if I want”, said Roger Federer.

However, Federer revealed that he handles his schedule without much fuss, and very rarely does he get frustrated or stressful. “Yeah, sometimes it happens. I am always on the road, with children and sometimes you feel stressful”, said Roger Federer. “I am a very calm person and if I get angry it’s because it’s worth”, he added.

“The last time I got really angry was a long time ago, but there are also moments where I feel nervous because I think we could do certain things in a different way”, continued Federer. “Especially when you have children, you need to always decide with your wife what’s right to do to organize your day”, he said.

Federer faced a stern test in the form of Fabio Fognini,nishi in the third round of the Paris Masters 1000 earlier yesterday. Despite starting well the Swiss was broken back, and had to increase his level a notch, to overcome the Italian challenge. “You can’t expect too much from what, for us, was effectively a first round match because neither Fabio or I had played any matches before this. So when you don’t play, your rhythm is a bit off, ” he said.

Federer will face a rejuvenated Kei Nishikori in his next round at the Paris Masters 1000.
