In a post-match press conference, Roger Federer revealed that his semifinals match with Rafael Nadal will count as one of his favorite matches as he played against his long-time rival at the most prestigious tournament after 11-years.
He said, “It’s always very very cool to play Rafa here. It lived up to the hype. It had everything at the end. It’s definitely gonna go down as one of my favorite matches to look back on, just because of its Rafa, because it’s at Wimbledon and the weather was great and the crowd was great.”

Roger Federer was also asked about how he would train and go into the match against Novak Djokovic. He said, “I don’t have so much energy to train right now. Honestly, it is about recovery and hitting some balls tomorrow and warming up the next day but it is more in the tactics.”
The 37-year-old then compared practice with reading books on the day of the test. He continued and said, “I don’t think there’s much I need to do in terms of practice. It’s just like in school, on the day of the test you are not going to read a lot of books that day, you don’t have the time anyhow. So it’s quite clear that the work was done way before and I think that’s why I was able to produce good results today.”

The Swiss revealed that he will go into the match confidently. He said, “It has been rock solid year for mine, one in Halle, everything, the stars are aligned right now. I can go into that match very confident but if think of Novak of one thing is that Nole jumps back & defends from the left better than anybody.”

Roger Federer will play Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic for the first in a grand slam. He said on having to face rafa and nole for the first time in a slam, “It is tough to play both and turn right around. Novak hits flat shots and covers the court differently. Today Rafa served stronger than ever. Novak is similar. The main thing is you must trust yourself and have confidence.”
