World Number three, Roger Federer and this fitness coach, Pierre Paganini have a long term relationship. The Swiss has trained under Paganini since the age of 13. Paganini plays a crucial role in Federer’s career and he classifies Roger Federer as ‘an artist with his unbelievable creativity’.

The Swiss maestro had changes in his team over the past few years, but his fitness coach has always remained the same and he is grateful to seek his guidance all these years. “I guess the thing for me which is maybe different than for others is that I have had the same fitness coach for so long that we don’t do any more tests or — I don’t know what,” Roger Federer said.

“Like how they do in soccer, preseason, and they check you out and all that stuff. We just shake hands and go, Nice to see you. What’s the plan? He tells me what the situation is, what we’re gonna work on, and that’s it,” he added.

He later spoke about his relationship with his fitness coach and how both of them work together. “It’s all about managing the schedule, managing, you know, the energy and making sure, depending on how much longer I want to play, that we adapt my schedule to that. But in all honesty, I haven’t gone into scientific things by any stretch, you know, in my career,” Roger Federer mentioned.
