As we know the Tokyo Olympic Games are around the corner, there is an unfortunate update with the players missing from this year’s edition. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams are some of the big names that are on the list of absentees.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal will not be seen in Tokyo
The players from the men’s section that won’t be seen are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Stanislas Wawrinka, Dominic Thiem, Denis Shapovalov, Nick Kyrgios, David Goffin, Milos Raonic, Vasek Pospisil, Dan Evans, Alex de Minaur, Matteo Berrettini.
The players missing from the women’s section are Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Bianca Andreescu, Coco Gauff.

There are various reasons for the players missing the Olympic Games this year. There are some players who are dealing with injuries, whereas there are players who do not wish to live in the bubble.

However, the World No. 1 players, Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty will be headlining the event. Besides them, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev are featuring. In women’s, Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, Elina Svitolina are a few prominent names competing.
The Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo from the 23rd of July till the 8th of August. We wish all the athletes competing in the Games the best of luck in representing their nation.
