World Number three, Roger Federer was in conversation with the skiing champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, Mikaela Shiffrin at an event by Barilla, and during that conversation, he recalled when he was completely drunk.

“Yes, it happened once after winning US Open in 2008. It took three days and a half to totally recover. The tournament ended on Sunday night and I only recovered on Thursday. I do not know what really happened,” Federer shared.

He continued to share his state of mind back then. “At the hangover breakfast, I just tried to compensate somehow. But had no idea if I ever get something down. Well, I understand it well: the bar was about to close, so we took some drinks and it was just too many. But I think it happened to everyone. Who did not do it, try to win the US Open! Oh God, did I really tell that?”

During the talk with Shiffrin, Roger Federer revealed that he would always prefer wine over beer, and he never says no to a good champagne. He talked about his absolute favorite dishes or something which he prefers to eat every single day.

“I love the variety. But if I have to commit to one, then I take Spaghetti Pomodoro. The classic. I also like carbonara, but every day… that’s too much for me. I’m in a good restaurant, I eat practically everything. I also had sea urchins. With a good sauce, you try the craziest things,” he added.

Further, the Swiss shared about the places where he wants to travel and they are on his bucket list. “I would like to see more of Africa and I’m trying to travel to South America this year. I also love traveling through Asia, but I also want to do more with the car. You just see more, slower on the way. After Wimbledon we were traveling with the caravan, traveling with it through Switzerland, that was funny,” Federer said.
