In a recent interview with Die Zeit, Roger Federer talked about playing tennis when he was young. He talked about how is parents spent a lot of money on his tennis but they were still not sure about him becoming a professional. However, he was very sure about this and that is why he had a conversation with his dad about this. He revealed the details of this conversation as he said,
“I have my parents asked if it’s okay for me to finish school. My father said to me: ‘You have exactly two or three years. If you don’t get well, you go straight back to the school.”

Roger said that he accepted this as he felt he had it in him to succeed and that he had something special. He went to talk about how it was fortunate that he turned out to be right by quickly becoming the World No.1 among the juniors. Right now, the Swiss Maestro is at home recovering from a second knee surgery he had to undergo. This caused him to end his 2020 season prematurely which was something no one was happy about. He said has said that he wants to take his time so that he can be at 100% when he returns in 2021.
