World Number three tennis player, Roger Federer will be featuring at French Open 2020. While he was in conversation with CNN in Tokyo, on Monday he revealed that he will be playing on the Parisian terre-battue for the upcoming tennis season.

This year, he made a return on the sludge after three years of await and played his first match on clay in Madrid against Richard Gasquet. Later, at Roland Garros 2019, Roger Federer reached the quarterfinals without dropping a set. He played an enthralling four-set match against Stan Wawrinka in the last-eight round before losing to the ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals of the Paris major.

However, Roger Federer is yet to confirm his presence at the other tennis tournaments on the European Clay-Court Tour.

Surely, after Wimbledon 2020 the Swiss legend will be engaging in the quest of obtaining his missing glory from his hoard of titles, which is an Olympic Gold medal as on Monday, Federer announced his participation at the Tokyo Games 2020.

“I’ve been debating with my team for a few weeks now, months actually, what I should do in the summertime (of 2020) after Wimbledon and before the US Open. At the end of the day my heart decided to play the Olympic Games again,” Federer said.

On the ATP Tour, later this week, Federer will be next stopping for Swiss Indoors Basel event on his home soil. Most likely he will be the top seed of the tournament and this time his victory at the Basel event would remark his tenth title in his hometown.

Earlier this year in Halle, Federer accomplished his version of ‘La Decima’ by defeating David Goffin in the finals as the Swiss drew ten titles from a single tennis tournament which is the Gerry Weber Open in Germany.
