Though he won’t be seen on the professional tennis courts, Federer will make it a point to spend his leisure time playing tennis. Besides tennis, Roger Federer loves to play other ball sports and he mentioned taking up those sports as well.

“I do hope so. The thing is, you know, in life it is important to make it a priority,” Roger Federer said. “When it’s not a priority, you can go all of a sudden, weeks and months where you are not going to play and that’s what I am worried about. I think, when I’ll retire, I’ll make sure that I will hit the courts once or twice a week.”

“If I’m not going to tell myself this, that I’m not going to play for a long long period of time. And then to come back from that, the body will be in pain,” the World Number three added.

“Instead of going on the treadmill, which is anyways dread, I’d rather go and play tennis, which is so much more fun. I am a big ball sportsperson, anything like football, ping pong, badminton, squash, basketball, I will be up for it, I’ll do that stuff,” the Swiss mentioned.
