Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic along with Andy Murray have won the Wimbledon title in the past 16 years, which proves their dominance at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

The ‘Big 3’ had no problems whatsoever during their round of 16 matches on Manic Monday with the trio reaching the quarterfinals with a straight-sets victory in the fourth round.

However, the important question here is whether the ‘Big 3’ are too strong to beat or the players challenging them on the court are not good enough to beat them?

Roger Federer elucidated on the situation shortly after his straight-sets victory over Matteo Barrettini in the fourth round on Monday. The Swiss feels that their experience and understanding of the conditions helps them to play better.

“I think the best guys now are fully engaged, they know exactly what to expect from the court and the conditions. That helps us to play better,” Roger Federer said.

14 out of 16 players reaching the fourth round were aged about 27 years. Also, all the players reaching the quarterfinals are aged more than 28 years, which concludes that experience plays a big part in the game. Roger Federer also feels that the experience helps them naturally to come into these matches as favorites.

He continued, “I think with experience, that’s good. We haven’t dropped much energy in any way. It’s not like we’re coming in with an empty tank into the second week so all these little things help us to then really thrive in these conditions. I don’t know what else it is.”
