Roger Federer, in one of his recent interviews, spoke out to the youngsters looking up to him. Federer said that there will be tough times- times when you will want to give up, times when you doubt yourself and all the other people around you. the trick is to plod on through these times. “Well, you got to hang in there. You going to go through ups and downs in your career”, said Federer. “I went through many of them. People don’t think I did, but I did. Yeah, you got to hang in there. Learn quickly, listen to what your coach has to say, and believe that you can do it all the way really. I think that’s an important lesson in life.”

Another important thing that Federer added, was that a person should have the willingness to travel and explore the world in search of new possibilities. “That worked for me. First, you have to have a passion for the game, otherwise, there’s no point travelling the world and going through jet lag from one to the next”,Federer said. “I love travelling, but sometimes it’s also a bit much, so you’ve got to have the passion for the game.”
