As the Swiss legend, Roger Federer makes his ATP title count to a three digit figure and swept aside the Greek man, Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships 6-4, 6-4. His sparkling journey of the singles titles century began in the year 2001 in the Italian city of Milan. And now, he is just nine titles behind Jimmy Connors who has 109 ATP crowns.

As Roger Federer becomes the second ATP champ to reach the centurion of ATP accolades, Federer reminisced, “it makes me look back at how it all started and how badly I wanted my first title back in Milan… I was hoping that one day I was going to win a title. I was so relieved I was not going to be that guy who was going to (have) endless talent with no titles. You can imagine today sitting with 100 how much disbelief there is in between what happened then and now.”

The 37-year-old, Roger Federer sends out a message to his fans after he attained his eighth Dubai crown. “Hello everybody,” Federer said. “ I just wanted to say, thank you. What an amazing victory it has been. What a journey, these hundred titles have been. It’s been just incredible. I couldn’t have done it without my team, my fans, my family and everybody. I just wanted to give everybody a big shoutout and I hope everybody is well. Take care. Thanks for your support.”
