Rafael Nadal engaged to his long-time girlfriend Xisca Perello in May 2018. According to reports, the pair got engaged during a vacation in Miami, however, the news remained private until this year. The Spanish media has not only announced their wedding date but also disclosed the details of the reception. Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello will tie knots on October 19.

According to the Blick, the ceremony will take place near Rafael Nadal’s hometown, Mallorca. The selected venue is one of the most expensive properties of the island, ‘La Fortaleza‘ – located in the north of Majorca on the Bay of Pollenca. It has an estimated value of about 137 million francs.

The wedding will be one of the most high-profile events on the island and it will certainly attract many more well-known faces from all around the world.

Rafael Nadal and Xisca Perello expect 500 guests to be a part of their celebration. According to the reports from Spanish media, Spanish Basketball player and NBA star Pau Gasol, Spanish football manager Julen Lopetegui, Rafael Nadal’s coach Carlos Moya, Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias and football legend Cristiano Ronaldo are said to have received an invitation for their wedding.

Also, Rafael Nadal’s long-time rival, Roger Federer is said to receive an invitation. However, he is not the only tennis player, who will be present during the wedding. Rafael Nadal’s compatriot, Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez are also expected at ‘La Fortaleza.

King Juan Carlos, who has a close relationship with Rafael Nadal is also included in the 500 invitees. Earlier, Real Madrid star, Gareth Bale also got married at La Fortaleza.

Rafael Nadal also safeguards his marriage from the media with the choice of the wedding venue as ‘the fortress’ is only reachable via a single private road. In addition, the fort is also well secured with iron gates, cameras, and barbed wires, which makes it highly difficult for paparazzi to gain access to the marriage.

However, recent reports suggest that Roger Federer didn’t get an invitation to the wedding of Rafael Nadal, at least not yet but he emphasized the good relationship with Nadal, which has grown over the years.
