Organisers made the decision to halt play due to darkness just as home favourite Monfils had clinched the second set to send the crowd into a frenzy.

All of Sunday’s unfinished tennis will begin or continue on Monday, where organisers and fans alike hope to catch up to the schedule without any more rain.
