Rohit Sharma Has a Funny Reply to Pakistani Journalist’s Question After India vs Pakistan

The most awaited match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Pakistan turned out to be a one-sided fixture as the ‘Men in Blue’ defeated the ‘Green Army’ by 89 runs with Indian Opener with Rohit Sharma winning the man of the match award for his splendid century in the first innings.

While the Indian team scored a mountainous score of 336 runs as they were put to bat by the Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Khan, who choose to field after winning the toss. Pakistan in reply could manage to score only 212 runs in 40 overs with losing 6 wickets before rain intervened to hand India the win via DLS method.

Rohit Sharma took his team to a very firm position as he scored 140 runs in 113 balls. The right-handed opener had set the stage for the middle order batsmen to put a high score on the board.

Rohit Sharma was involved in a hilarious exchange with a reporter in the post-match press conference. The Mumbaikar was asked by a reporter as to “What advice can he give as a colleague to the Pakistani batsmen? How they can come out of this crisis?”

Rohit Sharma smiled and replied, “Agar main Pakistan ka coach bana to bilkul bataunga, abhi to… kya bataunga! (If I become the coach of Pakistan then surely I will tell you. What can I say now).”  Rohit Sharma’s reply left the whole room burst into laughter.

Rohit Sharma later credited his newly born baby girl for his incredible performance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He said, “It’s just the space I’m in right now; having a newly born daughter in my life has put me in a really good space. I am enjoying my cricket coming off from a great IPL campaign. Here we were focussed on starting well and I think as a team we are heading in the right direction.”

Rohit Sharma was also asked to rank his century against Pakistan at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, on Sunday. However, the 32-year-old refused to rank his hundred as he said, “I am sure if I get another hundred next game you will ask me the same question. It’s hard to put any knock on top because all those knocks you play for your country are really really important so its very tough.”
