In early September, a thief snuck into a clinic in Le Pré, located in the city of Le Mans. As it turned out, the thief made off with two small electric cars which were used to bring children to the operating room of the clinic. In response to this malicious act, a number of French personalities donated money to purchase new carts. Among them was Haas F1 driver Romain Grosjean.

According to Canal + F1 reporter Julien Fébreau, Grosjean bought 10 carts to be used by the children of this clinic. Meanwhile, the Ferrari team also contacted the Pré clinic, while the sports branch of Renault sent gifts to hospitalized children.

Romain Grosjean had recently re-signed for Haas for the upcoming 2020 season alongside Kevin Magnussen. Speaking to the official Formula One website, Grosjean said, “I’ve always stated that it was my desire to remain with Haas F1 Team and keep building on the team’s accomplishments.”

Meanwhile, teammate Magnussen admitted that none of them were satisfied with how the 2019 season has played out so far. However, they are determined to turn things around and move up the order in the championship.

Magnussen expressed his gratitude towards the team for their constant faith in his abilities. The Danish driver stated that they all shared a common goal and together with Romain Grosjean, they will give it their all on-track for the remainder of this season and into 2020.

This weekend, the entire Formula One paddock is in Singapore for the sport’s only night race.
