Did Volition postpone the Saints Row Reboot because of a packed release schedule in February?

In the blog post from Jim Boone, the Volition COO talked about the delay behind the hyped Saints Row Reboot. The developers had revealed the game in August during Gamescom 2021. According to the executive, the developers need more time to fine-tune the game. However, they have no plans to change any storylines or features.

“The team just need more time to do our vision justice; we’re doing some fine tuning and there won’t be much change in the game outside of overall quality and polish.”

Even then, fans had a disappointing reaction to the news from the developers after waiting years for a new Saints Row game. However, some fans believe that the delay might not be because of the lack of time to improve its quality. Instead, they think that Volition might want to skip the packed video game release schedule in the early months of 2022.
