The doubles specialist tennis player, Kristina Mladenovic annulled her coaching tenure with Sascha Bajin last month. The German coach has opened up upon his coaching experience with Kiki. He terms the separation with the former doubles World Number one as a ‘selfish decision’ and he did it for his personal evolvement.

“It was really great. I learned a lot and I hope she did a bit too. Her whole family is truly some of the nicest people you meet on tour,” Sascha Bajin announced on social media.

“I am sad and it broke my heart that I choose not to continue but I had to think about myself. It’s selfish I admit that but if you don’t think bout what’s best for yourself who else will …? I wish her truly nightingale but the best.”

The German tennis coach, Sascha Bajin was previously coaching Naomi Osaka, but the Japanese player sacked her coach after winning her second straight Grand Slam at Australian Open 2019. He previously served as a hitting partner to Serena Williams.

Kiki and Sascha began their alliance this year in April and their league was formalized during the Miami Open 2019. This year on the singles circuit,  Mladenovic managed to defeat the Grand Slam champions Naomi Osaka and Angelique Kerber.

Kristina Mladenovic was in tandem with Timea Babos at WTA Finals 2019 in Shenzhen, China. The duo lifted up the doubles trophy on Sunday after surpassing the second-seeded team, Hsieh Su-wei, and Barbora Strycova.

En route to the Shenzhen finals, Mladenovic and Babos defeated the top-seeds, Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka in the group stages of the Shenzhen event.

Meanwhile on the singles court of Shenzhen, after series of withdrawals and retirements, top-seed Ashleigh Barty and the defending champion, Elina Svitolina set up the championship clash. The winner of the tournament will take home a whopping prize of $4.725 million.
