Activision stepped into the battle royale genre of gaming with Call of Duty Warzone in March 2020. Despite competing with the likes of Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends, the game turned out to be a massive success. However, the current state of Warzone has compelled a lot of players to quit the game altogether.
One of the most popular names on this list is Vikram “Vik” Singh Barn, better known by his alias, Vikkstar 123. Ever since its release, Vikkstar had been one of the most successful players to drop into Verdansk and compete in Call of Duty Warzone.
In a recent video, Vikkstar explained why he quit Warzone:

It comes as no surprise that hackers drastically affect the gaming experience in multiplayer games. As a result, developers like Epic Games, Riot Games, and others actively work on their anti-cheat softwares. From the looks of it, Activision has miserably failed to tread the same path.
“Hackers! The game is in the worst state it’s ever been. Activision really isn’t addressing how many hackers there are in the game,” claimed Vikkstar.
Is this the beginning of the end of Call of Duty Warzone?
The severity of hacking in Warzone is self-evident from the fact that Vikkstar faced a hacker that was live-streaming simultaneously. To his astonishment, the hacker had been streaming on Facebook Gaming for hours with no consequences.
“We don’t even report these players because they never seem to go away and there’s always more and more hackers,” said Vikkstar.

He further added,“This is sad for me because I’m sure you know last year I had huge successes posting Warzone videos, winning Warzone tournaments. But um, the player base of the game is now so saturated with hackers. You tend to find them in every single lobby.”
Considering Vikkstar’s growth as a content creator and a professional player in 2020, his latest announcement has been heart-breaking for his fans around the world. It is high-time that the community poses a united front against the developers and demand an anti-cheat system in the game.
